Hi, I’m Dr. Christeanna Richardson, a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and the founder of A Little Note.

I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duke University and my Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

My work is rooted in a simple belief: ADHD care should be evidence-based, personalized, holistic, and incorporate a lifespan approach.

Through my clinical experience, I’ve seen how often individuals and families are left with more questions than answers—given a diagnosis or medication, but little guidance on what ADHD actually looks like in everyday life or how to navigate it long-term.

At the same time, my own experience as a late-diagnosed woman with ADHD, and as a mom to children with ADHD, has given me a personal understanding of how overwhelming it can be to navigate. ADHD is more than a diagnosis; it shows up in the everyday moments with challenges that don’t always fit neatly into a clinic visit.

In practice, I often found myself trying to bridge that gap by sending families home with handwritten notes…small, meaningful pieces of guidance. A Little Note was created as an extension of those moments, offering clinical expertise and support that continues beyond the exam room.

Here, you’ll find clear, evidence-based education, practical strategies, and simple tools designed for real life. I focus not only on symptoms, but on the day-to-day challenges that impact functioning, including routines, emotional regulation, sleep, nutrition, executive functioning and common co-occurring conditions.

My goal is to help you and your child better understand ADHD, and feel more informed, supported, and confident in navigating it, rather than trying to piece everything together on your own.

This work is about creating clarity, building sustainable strategies, and offering the kind of support that truly makes a difference over time, while protecting your child’s self-esteem and quality of life.

In my family, this has looked like my daughter viewing her ADHD as a “superpower” she must learn to harness, instead of growing up thinking, “What is wrong with me?” And that right there makes all the difference…

I’m so glad you’re here! Know that we can navigate this together…one “little note” at a time.
